Small businesses across part of Sussex are being reminded about the help they can receive with paying their rates.

Mid Sussex District Council has urged any firm which gets a letter to apply.

The national scheme, which can reduce payments by 50%, is open to firms with rateable values between £5,000 and £15,000.

The scheme is being funded by the Government and managed by local councils.  Business clinics are also being offered to small firms by Sussex Enterprise.  Advice sessions are available from Business Link Sussex, which has teamed up with the council to offer help.  Advice is also available from the Gatwick Diamond Initiative, which aims to develop the area into a world-class business location.
